Ms. Hayes
Born and raised in North Carolina, I have been in education for 18 years!
I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family, and roller skating. As an Educator, Entrepreneur, and Advocate for 21st century learning I have worked to bridge the gap between education and the real world.

Educational Philosopy
Education should promote lifelong intellectual growth, global awareness, and exploratory learning opportunities for students. The value of teaching excellence is rooted in academics and community service; cooperative with the social and cultural resources of Charlotte Mecklenburg County; collaborative with other innovative programs to emerging community needs.
Extended Learning in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math
I encourage students to shift from the traditional educational setting through uniquely designed curriculum, projects, and hands-on activities. I teach my students about project failures and project successes. Students will leave my class with strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Our classroom will carry the torch of building a strong foundation in order for students to compete in the global economy.
STEM Gems will develop a set of thinking, reasoning, teamwork, investigative and creative skills that can be used in all areas of their lives.
